Delicious Day of the Dead Sugar (Cookie) Skulls
Gather Supplies
-favorite Sugar Cookie Mix/Recipe
-Skull Cookie Cutter
-Cookie Icing
-small candies/sprinkles
-plate

Mix Up the Cookies
Follow the directions on your favorite store bought cookie mix (I like Betty Crocker) or prepare your favorite homemade sugar cookie recipe.
Shape and Bake the Cookies
Roll out your dough and then use a skull cookie cutter (make sure it's big enough that you will have room to decorate later) to shape the dough before placing on the pan. Bake the cookies according to your receipe or mix. Allow to cool.
Decorate Cookies
Place a cookie on a plastic plate (this way excess sprinkles can be put back in the jar and you contain the mess)
Use your icing and sprinkles to decorate the cookies like a day of the dead skeleton. The sky is the limit here! Pick your favorite colors, put some of your favorite designs, whatever you feel.
After you have applied the basic colors, add candy to accident.
Finally I like to outline my skeleton with black to make it pop!
Note: It is recommended to do little sections at a time when sprinkles are involved (as to only get it on a specific part).
