Dash Phone Holder Modification

This is a modification to an existing dash phone holder that broke. It attaches to the air vent, which has the added advantage of cooling the phone on hot days.

Take the clamping mechanism from the old holder.

Disassemble the arm.

Screw the base to a piece of wood.

Reassemble the clamping mechanism.

Bend the clips on a binder to attach to the unit and clamp into the car air vent.

Attach the binder to the top of the unit.

Attach pads to the inside of the claws for better phone stability.

Clip the unit to the car dash air vent.

Place the phone in the new holder.
