Dali's Soft Clock

Today I made a clock in a Dalí style, just like you can see in "The persistence of memory". It can be hung from a shelf as if it was slowly melting :)

First of all, you'll have to draw a shape for your "soft" clock. In the picture you can see how I did mine and how I adapted the numbers to it. Try to keep always the same distance from the center and the outer border. Don't forget to draw a line where the clock will bend.

I decided to cut out the numbers to glue them on another sheet of white paper. That way the numbers will be more visible and also stick a little bit out of the back. To cut the numbers exactly as I drew them the first time, I put the grey paper under the prototype and then I traced the number using an empty ball pen.

I pasted the numbers on a new white sheet of paper of the same shape of the other. Make sure they're correctly aligned or the clock won't be easy to read. Don't forget to make a hole in the center.

I used a thin sheet of cardboard to reinforce the back. Moreover, I added a steel plate (which had a 90° angle) to keep it square and to add more weight to the horizontal part of the clock.

At last, I added the mechanism which I took from an old clock I had. Thanks for reading :D
