Dalgona Whipped Coffee

IMG_6438.JPG

You don't have to leave your house to enjoy one of the yummiest whipped coffee treats. This deliciousness is made from equal parts instant coffee crystals, sugar, and hot water. You can serve it on top of any type of milk you like, hot or cold, making it vegan and dairy-free friendly if you go that route.

I used a hand mixer to whip this up in about 5 minutes. If you don't have one, use a whisk but it will take a bit longer. Don't worry, it's well worth it!

"Dalgona" is the Korean derivation of this concept, but many other countries have done this, as well. Wherever it originated, big props. It's super delicious

Gather Your Materials

Place your mixer on low speed and gradually increase.

After a couple minutes, it will get fluffier and lighter in colour. Beat until light brown and puffy.

Put It Together

Use a class of cold milk or a mug of hot milk- your choice! Scrape up the whipped coffee with a spatula and plop it on top of of your milk.

Swirl it around with the side of your spatula for a nice presentation.

Cheers!

Enjoy this little beauty. Having the whipped coffee part on its own will hit you with sweet, strong coffee punch. Stir it into the milk to blend it all together. Yum!
