The DroidKAN was developed to be a dynamic multi-function droid. It has all the functions of the BB series and R2 units while still retaining the sophistication of a protocol droid such as the 3PO line of robots. Starting from the top, the clear glass head boasts a 360-degree camera and an array of sensors including a small projector for interplanetary transmissions. It has 2 articulated arms with a large range of mobility, allowing it to repair and retrieve parts for many spaceships and other terrestrial vehicles. The arms retract into the body when not being used for a smooth streamlined appearance. The base of the DroidKAN features a large rubber ball that propels the droid over many different terrains at a top speed of 41 kph! Much faster than BB and R2 units. DroidKAN can also deflate the ball just enough to be transported or stored with other units. The DroidKAN is currently under contract with several outlying Imperial outfits but can be ready for other interested parties with a few modifications.
