DODOcase VR Kit Glitter Mod
The Eureka! Factory partnered with the Land O' Lakes Branch Library FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, the Edgar Allan Ohms, for our October Instructables Build Night with DODOcase, This is not one of those "Shhh , this is a library" libraries. LOL annually hosts Rockus Maximus, a hugely successful Battle of the Bands; Lamecon, an immensely popular Anime convention; and the Edgar Allan Ohms, the only FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team in the country based at a public library. And they've also got a makerspace underway.
This is the 3rd of our DODOcase builds with the robotics team, and this team member went all out on the glitter glue!
Materials
- DODOcase VR Kit

Build Your DODOcase Viewer
Instructions for building the kit can be found here: http://www.dodocase.com/pages/vrkit1
Prepare Your Paper Shell
You could just deck out your viewer directly, but covering it with construction paper (black in this case) does a couple of things:
1) It keeps glitter out of the inside of your viewer
2) It provides a nice solid background for your glitter designs
3) It makes it easy to swap out designs - just tear off the paper cover and glue on a new one when the spirit moves you.
Just create a basic pattern from your DODOcase dimensions, leaving a slot for your phone camera and for the magnet on the side.
Cover Viewer With Paper
Glue the construction paper onto your viewer, making sure not to glue the main flap shut.

Get creative! Most of this was done with gobs of glitter but glitter glue, beads, sequins and rhinestones would work, too.
Enjoy VR and Be Awesomely Branded!
The Edgar Allan Ohms want to be known while they're riding their virtual roller coaster! You can, too.
Enjoy!
