DNA-Chopstick Rest
I am from St. Margaret's Episcopal School,8th grade.
In my family, we always use chopsticks for meals. If these chopsticks are not properly stored, they sometimes get moldy. Additionally, the containers we use to store these delicate chopsticks are usually ordinary and lack creativity. I would like to create some unique devices to hold these distinctive utensils.
The double helix structure of DNA is fascinating, and combining its shape with a chopstick holder would be an interesting and creative idea.
Supplies
Fusion360,3D-printer
Study the Structure of DNA
Study the structure of DNA and simplify it, keeping it from being overly complex. Measure the size of the chopsticks and determine the approximate dimensions of the chopstick holder.
Model Design
Design the model using software:Fusion360.
3D-print
Print it out using a 3D printer and apply your preferred colors. It would be interesting to see the chopsticks placed on it.
This method of placing chopsticks is also very clean and hygienic.
However, if you had twice as many chopsticks, you could potentially create even more interesting designs.
