DIY to the Best Bath

Have you ever just wanted to take a nice relaxing bath? Bath bombs are a easy way to make your bath more relaxing plus add a little more fun, rather than just a regular bath.

To make bath bombs you will need the following:

- 8 oz baking soda

-4 oz Epsom salt

-4 oz cornstarch

- 4 oz citric acid

- Large bowl Whisk

-Biodegradable glitter or dried flower petals (optional)

-2.5 tablespoons coconut oil (or any other veggie oil)

-About 1 tablespoon water

-About 2 teaspoons essential oil (for scent)

-4-6 drops of food coloring (Optional I did not do this step)

-Small jar or bowl 12-18 silicone molds OR I used paper muffin containers

The first step to making bath bombs is to mix your dry ingredients which would include the baking soda, Epsom salt, cornstarch, and citric acid. If desired add Biodegradable glitter or dried flower petals at this point. Once put in a large bowl mix until smooth.

Once you have your dry ingredients mixed in a large bowl, you can mix your wet ingredients into a sperate smaller bowl.

At this point, you may add in food coloring if wanted to the wet ingredient bowl. I did not do this step on this batch of bath bombs.

Once you have both bowls of ingredients mixed in separate bowls, pour one into the other. You will notice that fizzing will occur this is due to water and citric acid mixing.

Now that you have all ingredients into one bowl mix with a whisk, and stir until smooth. You will want the texture to be of wet sand so they stick together in your molds.

Once the texture is right you will want to move quickly so the mixture does not dry out.

Now that you have the perfect mixture place into molds of your choice. A few options would include cupcake liners, silicon molds, or DIY molds.

This is the most time-consuming portion of this project, you will want to let your bath bombs dry a minimum of twelve hours or until hard.

This is the final product, this last step is optional and that is to put bath bombs into a container for use in the future.
