DIY a Multi-Layered Colorful Desktop Decor | Laser Cut, Wood, Wall Art

In this Instructable, I'll show you how to make a piece of scrap wood wall art out of plywood. This simple wooden art project adds a ton of style to any space, and all you need is a laser cutter and some paint. Don't miss out, give it a try!

Supplies

MATERIALS:

  1. 3mm thickness plywood*2 (45*45cm)
  2. Wood Glue
  3. Paint

EQUIPMENT:

  1. 20W NEJE Laser Cutter
  2. Software: Lightburn

This project is a Multi-Layered project so it has 8 layers in total. If you plan to hang it on the wall, it is not recommended to use plywood thicker than 3mm.Apart from that, you can adjust the size of the image as you like.

Basically, you just need to cut the file. Once you adjust your file fit your working area, you can start to cut. Since it consists of 8 layers, you can divide this multi-layered project into two cuts, one for 2 to 4 layers.

Setting: 450mm/min, 90%power, Air assist on

Painting & Assembling

After cutting, you can paint it. Use a acrylic marker or paintbrush to paint. I have chosen a blue gradient here, but you can also use other gradient colors according to your preferences. After the painting is completed, assemble it layer by layer according to the order of the picture. Now you have completed your multi-layered work of art!
