DIY Wire Wrapped Charms
Hi! Today I’m making wire-wrapped charms!
These are easy to make and end up being a unique and beautiful accessory to your outfit. You don’t need many supplies and what is required can most likely be found in your home.
It is highly recommended that you customize this charm to your own liking as all results of this project look amazing!
Everyone can make these, I know a 9-year-old who loves to make her own jewelry, and these charms are some of her favorites!
Supplies
- Wire: 2-3 strips, 9cm (3.5 inches) each
- Beads: You can use as many as you like, recommended the beads be small.
- Pliers: Needle-nose and short-nose
Gather the Wire
Begin by cutting two 9cm long pieces of wire and placing them in an X shape.
Twist the Wire Together
Twist the wires together five times at the center of the X. The end result should have a twisted center.
Gather Charm Object
Take the object you’re using as a charm and place it on the twisted part of the wires. You should know if the object is too big for the charm.
If wanted, you can place beads on the wire to add and customize to your charm.
Secure Charm
Once the object is secure and easy to work around, take each piece of wire and twist it about five times. Five is definitely the max and you can secure the object within less twists.
Finish
Take the pieces of wire and twist them into a loop so you can hang the charm on string or chain to create a necklace.
I hope you found this helpful and easy!
Have a good day!
