One time I was watching sports in my living room and I was like woah it would be so cool if we had a ticker around the top of the walls to see like scores or even stocks or anything, like what living room has a ticker?? Everyone was really confused and was like ok… Anyway, I made one.

Disclaimer:

I used a mac to make this so I don't know what changes would need to be made for building using a PC, and I bought 5m LED strips (only hung up 0.5m for testing as of now).

Supplies

Assembly

Using the provided schematic, connect the LED strips to the Arduino using the breadboard and wires.

Testing

IMG_3467.jpg

Use the USB B → USB A cable to connect the Arduino to your computer. For the best chances of it working, read the README file as well as the instruction blurb at the top of any of the provided programs you choose to run. Compile and upload a program to the board.

Running

(it's not actually laggy, had to convert to gif to reduce video size and it messed with the speed and added pauses...)

If you run into an error, refer to the README file, or contact me using the link at the bottom of that file.
