DIY Washing Your Dog
For this job you will need to have a bath, the correct supplies and a lot of patience.
Supplies
Supplies will include
dog shampoo, a hair dryer, dry towel, dog brush, an empty plastic cup, a dog toy, and most important the dog.
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Supplies will include dog shampoo, a hair dryer, dry towel,
dog brush, an empty plastic cup, a dog toy, and most important the dog.
Step 2: Turn on the Faucet
Turn the faucet on in the tub to a lukewarm
temperature and fill the tub 3 inches high. Place dog in tub with the dog toy.
Step 3: Get the Dog Wet
Grab the empty plastic
cup and fill with water from the tub. Pour water directly on the dog.
Step 4: Check Your Work
: Make sure the dog is completely soaked before
proceeding on. You may need to repeat step 3 to accomplish this.
Step 5: Shampoo the Dog
Grab the dog shampoo bottle, open it and pour
shampoo on the dog starting from head to butt in a zig zag line.
Step 6: Scrubadubdub
With both hands rub the
shampoo liquid that is on the dog. Make sure to spread the shampoo evenly throughout the whole body of the dog. Please avoid eyes, ears and mouth of the dog.
Step 7: Get Clean Water
Grab the plastic cup again and fill it up with clean
water from the Faucet.
Step 8: Rinse
Pour the water from the
cup directly on the dog to wash off ALL of the shampoo that was placed prior.
Step 9: Drain the Water
Once all the shampoo is washed off the dog, drain
the tub and squeeze the excess water off the dog in the tub.
Step 10: Dry the Dog
Next take the dry towel, grab the dog from the
tub and wrap in the towel to dry.
Step 11: Hair Dry
Place the towel on the
ground and grab a hair dry. Then place the dog the towel and turn on the hair dryer.
Step 12: Brush
Grab the dog brush and brush the dog’s hair,
starting from head down to the butt.
Step 13: Reward and Finish
Finally, put the dog’s collar on and give them a
treat for being so good for a bath.
