Design & Sketch
I designed a CAD version of the cup holder on Tinkercad, I then printed that out and sketched it on the metal.
Cut Out the Cup Holder
Using a grinder and cut disc cut out the rough shape
Sand Out the Shape
Using a belt sander sand the metal to you have a shape you like
Drill Out the Hole
using a hole saw 2-3/4in drill out the hole
Bend Metal to a 90* Angle
Using a vice and hammer bend the metal to 90*
(optional)- If you want to now would be the time to roughly sand the metal with 220 grit sandpaper using orbital sander
Silicon the Cup Holder Into the Hole
Paint
I used VHT Wrinkle paint to protect it from rust
