With Valentines Day just around the corner, everyone is frantically trying to find the perfect gift for their friends and loved ones. DIY teddy bears are perfect for whether you need a last minute gift or just a cute little craft idea.

Supplies

Materials for this project include:

  • hot glue gun
  • small towel/washcloth
  • 5mm red foam
  • sharpie
  • electrical tape
  • small ruber bands

Folding the Towel

Start the project off by rolling one of the towel's ends to its center and then repeating with the other side. This next step is a little tricky so it's ok to try multiple times. Twist the towel, folding it over itself, and then separate the two rolls and push them off to the side.

Adding the Rubber Bands

This step is by far the simplest. Take your ruber bands and wrap them around each spot with the arrow. the first three will make the head and ears. The next three will make the legs and torso. The last two will make the arms.

Finishing Touches

Cut a long piece of tape out, fold it in half, and tie it around the bear's neck almost like a scarf. Cut out a big red heart and a smaller one, both from red foam. Write a phrase of your choice on the larger heart and glue it in between the bears arms. To finish off the project, glue the small heart on the bear's head to represent a nose.
