DIY Valentine Wooden Candle Holders
Happy Valentine's Day Instructables! Today, I have an easy DIY decor that will set the romantic mood for this Day of Love and Romance. This project is amazing because it's not just for this holiday. It is so versatile that you just need a little tweaking and you can use this for any season or occasion.
Supplies
For the Candle Holder:
- Curvy Chair Legs
- Sponge + Water + Vinegar
- Wood 4×4 Fence Caps
- 4″ Plant Saucer
- Contact Cement Glue
- Stain Blocking Primer
- Paint Brushes
- White Mineral Paint
For the Decorative Candle Ring:
- Clear Plastic Lid Top
- Hot Glue Gun
- Florals (similar)
- Real Flowers or Greenery
- Pillar Candles
Prep
I started with these curvy chair legs. Chairs with this kind of leg are easy to find on craigslist or thrift stores for an inexpensive price. I cleaned the legs with water and vinegar mixture and then cut them into different sizes.
Assembling the Candle Holder
To assemble the candle holder, I used 4x4 fence caps and 4" plant saucers and glued them up with contact cement glue.
Prime and Paint
Since we are painting wood, I used a stain-blocking primer and then painted it with White Mineral Paint.
Decorating the Candle Ring
After priming and painting, I used clear plastic container tops as the candle rings.
To decorate the candle ring, I used dollar store florals along with some real rose buds and greenery. I glued them with my glue gun.
After a little few touches, the candle holders are ready! Very Romantic! It is easy and so budget-friendly. I hope it inspired you to try and give you a decor idea for the next holidays! Full Makeover and source list: DIY Wooden Candle Holders.
