DIY USB Mobile Fan

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to make a USB fan, that can be used with any device with a USB port, even with a mobile phone.

1. A USB cable

2. A dc motor (I got mine from an old toy)

3. Soldering equipment

4. A Propeller/fan

5. 5 minutes of patience.

First of all, cut the cable such that you have this plug part of the cable with you. And now peel off the coating of the cable. Your cable will look like this.

Cut off all the other wires except the red and black ones.

Connect the wires to the terminals of the dc motor.

Now fix them by soldering.

Fix the propeller/fan and that’s it. You’re done.

You just need to plug the USB cable in a USB port to get your fan started, be it your charging adapter, power bank, music player, laptop, etc.

To use it with your mobile phone, you’ll need a USB otg cable, which provides you with a USB port in your mobile phone.
