For this funny tutorial, we are going to build a turtle-shaped controller for the free game "Attack of the Bric-a-Brac", which can be downloaded here: https://mechbird.itch.io/attack-of-the-bric-a-brac.

This tutorial was made by Despres Théo, Ngo Thien Quang, Maliszewski Victoria, Bedouet Nathan, Silvestre Auréliane, Guénachaud Romain,

Supplies

Take 5 pieces of cardboard that are long enough to go around your waist.

Roll the 5 pieces of cardboard to make a kind of tube.

Pad the cardboard tubes with newspaper for example for more solidity.

Cut on one end in bevels 2 pieces of cardboard to be able to fit them with 2 other parts.

Connect 4 pieces using the bevels on 2 of them and attach them with some tape and connect the last cardboard to finish the body part.

Now you have done a part of the turtle !

The Fins

Create 2 fins for the left and right side of the body.

Pad the cardboard like for the body for more solidity.

Make 2 holes at the narrower end to pass a rubber band through.

Make 2 other holes on the body part that to attach the fins to the body.

The Head

The head will be intended to accommodate the controller of the wired mouse.

With cardboards, create round shapes and don't forget to make enough space to welcome the wired mouse.

Attach the head to the body part.

Pulleys

For the part of the mechanism, use an empty tape roll for example.

Attach it on the edge of the body near the fin.

Do the same on the other side of the turtle.

Make a knot with a string or an elastic on the pulleys to facilitate the passage of the string from the mouse to the fin.

The Wired Mouse

Take the wired mouse and attach 2 strings to the mouse on both sides with tape. The strings must be long enough since they must pass through the pulleys and be attached below the fins.

The Turtle's Decorations

You can also add bonus thing to customize it even more !
