Draw Crop Line

Use your ruler and pencil to draw out a straight horizontal line across the dress that marks what will be the bottom of the crop top.

Cut "V" Shape & Middle Slit

Cut a "v" shape down from the collar, then cut a straight line down from the point of that "v". Make sure this center cut is nice and long, and be careful to only cut the front layer of material!

Cut Ties

Now, cut about 3-4 inches horizontally on each side from the bottom point of the long vertical line you just cut. Then, cut back up to the line you drew with the pencil. This will create your two front ties for the top!

Crop the Top

Next, cut from the sides inward toward the top of each tie you just cut. Then, move the ties up and out of your way so you can continue cutting the rest of the material on the back layer, creating the crop top!

Cut Head Wrap

Cut a piece of the leftover material from the bottom of the dress (both layers) that's about 5 inches wide, then cut that open along the seam to create your head wrap!

Burn Edges

Take your lighter and carefully run the flame along all cut edges. This will prevent the threads unraveling!

All Done!
