DIY Switch Adapted LED Disco Light

This project is designed to adapt an LED Disco Light to be switch access.

Supplies

Remove Screws

Remove battery cover and unscrew the 4 screws.

Separate Toy

Separate top from bottom of the toy.

Cut Cable

Cut end of cable. (We will be using the female end for this adaption)

Strip Cable

Strip the cable so that both the red and white cables are showing.

Solder

Add solder to the ends of both the red and white wires.

Add Hole

Melt or drill hole into the bottom. (Make sure that there is enough space on the top for proper mechanics of toy)

Thread Cable

Thread cable through the hole. Either add a zip tie or knot the cable to prevent the cable from being pulled out.

Solder

Solder one cable to the 3rd and one cable to the 4th prong from the left (as pictured).

Reassemble Toy

Reassemble toy and add batteries.
