DIY Soaps
The easiest and basic way to make a soap of any color, size, shape or design at home! It is essential to constantly wash your hands specially during this pandemic. It will not only serve as a way of hygiene, but a very fun and entertaining activity to do at home during quarantine!
Supplies
- Transparent and white Glycerol
- Alcohol
- Colorings
- Scents
- Molds
- Cups (for each color)
Once you have the materials ready, cut a piece of transparent glycerol and place it in cup to melt on microwave for 10 seconds.
After melting the glycerol, place drops of coloring (depending on the tone you would like to achieve) and drops of scent on the cup.
Add several several sprays of alcohol in the surface so that the glycerol doesn't stick to the mold.
Pour the colored and melted glycerol into the mold (fill it up until you would like) and let it rest for 2 minutes.
Cut a piece of the white glycerol and place on cup to melt on microwave for 10 seconds.
Place drops of coloring (depending on the tone you would like to achieve) and drops of scent.
Add several several sprays of alcohol so that the next layer of glycerol you will pour doesn't break or stick to the previous layer of glycerol.
Pour the colored and melted glycerol into the mold above the previous layer (fill up until you would like) and let it rest for 2 minutes.

Use the remainder glicerol from the first layer to finish up the soap. (If it's too dry out, put it once again in the microwave for 5 seconds and pour it in the mold. Let it rest for 2 minutes.
Finally, add the last sprays of alcohol in the last layer of glycerol to finish up the soap!
Leave the soap a few minutes resting until it is completely dry, stiff, and cool to remove it from the mold. Turn the mold over and gently press on the soap to let it out smoothly.
Final Result!
Once you remove the soap from the mold it is ready to use! It is important to note that even though the procedure was for this specific design, the steps are the basic way to create any soap and they can be repeated and modified to achieve different colors and designs!
