DIY Simple Jewelry Holder
This simple jewelry holder would make a great gift for any female. You don't need a lot of tools or equipment to make this, and you can change the design to fit your personal sense of style. It's simple, yet striking and holds jewelry such as rings, necklaces and bracelets quite elegantly.
Making the Jewelry Holder
Material:
- Wood of your choice, I used mahogany
- Dowel of your choice, I used oak
- Glue, I used epoxy
- Polyurethane or other finish
- Velcro or other fastening material
Tools
- Saw (hand saw, band saw or miter saw)
Method:
Cut up a piece of wood in the shape of a triangle. Mine measured about three inches on the long side and the angles were at 60 degrees, however you can make it any way you want. Cut a piece of dowel that measures 9 inches long.
Using epoxy or other glue, attach the dowel on top of the triangle. Let dry and give it a coat of polyurethane for protection.
Cut up a piece of velcro and attach to the back of the holder and attach the other side to the wall. Alternatively use another fastening system.
