Required Supplies:

1. An empty plastic 1 liter pop bottle.

2. A pair of large sharp scissors, or an exacto knife.

3. About half a cup of water.

Take off the cap and fill the plastic bottle about three quarters full and give it a good shake to get out any leftover soda.

The Wrapper!

Pull the wrapper off the bottle so that we have a nice, clear bottle.

Cutting!

Use the scissors or exacto knife to cut the bottle in half. Then place the upper section upside-down in the bottle so that the top is almost touching the bottom.

Fill It Up Again!

Fill the bottle up through the top so that only a little bit of water comes through the hole. (See picture)

Dirt!

Put a large chunk of dirt in the bottle first so that the dirt doesn't fall into the water when added, and then add the rest of it!

Final Step, Planting!

The last thing you have to do is plant a seed! Congrats! You just made a self watering plant using three objects!
