DIY Seed Packets

IMG_1498.JPG
You saved the seeds that you meticulously planted, nurtured, and harvested...But where do you put them all!? A plastic bag adds more plastic to the environment, and the zippies on the bags eventually make them unusable anymore. Recycled paper is the perfect option! And you get to customize.

These seed packets are easy, and if you don't have the money to buy my floral printable PDF, I have included a floral-free, pastel color scheme printable for home use only.
Please do not try to sell these as your own. These are NOT on creative commons.

Getting Started

Print 4 to a page, 1 sided. Find yourself scissors, a glue stick, and a pen or marker.

If you want odd sized packets, you can play around with the printing. and see how you like it. I recommend using the lightest colors put into black and white to test for printing size.

Cut, Glue, Write, Done!

Cut each packet out and follow the written instructions for gluing on the paper. Write the name of the seed, fill it up, and if you want, seal the top! You are done! What an easy way to be a bit more sustainable.

Also, the paper scraps you have left from cutting can be composted, blended with water and turned back into paper for more packets, used for papier mache, as a mulch for your garden, and much, much more! Be innovative, and don't waste. :)
