DIY Scrunchies (Sewable)

This is an instructable that shows you how to make your very own scrunchies at home!

Supplies

Hair Ties, Sewing Machine, Fabric, Needle and Thread, some experience with sewing.

Step 1: Cut and Iron the Fabric

Cut a 18x4 inch piece of your desired fabric out and iron it. Ironing the fabric is important to make it run through the sewing machine easier.

Step 2: Fold the Fabric Through the Hairtie

Pull the corner of the fabric through the hairtie and fold it over neatly.

Step 3: Sew the Scrunchie Shut

For this step the main things you will want to do is to keep the edges of the fabric even with each other and to make sure the fabric is inside out.

Step 4: Reverse the Scrunchie

Once you are done sewing, the scrunchie should look inside out like this.

Step 4.5: Reverse the Scrunchie

Turn the scrunchie inside out.

Step 5: Hand-Stitch the Scrunchie Shut
