Take your wire cutters, metal wire, and piece of wood; cut a long piece of your metal wire. Once your wire is cut, wrap the end of the metal around the top of your wood to start the frame. Form a rectangular blade shape around the wood and wrap the end of the metal around itself to secure it.

Wrap Your Blade

Take your aluminum foil and progressively wrap it around your blade frame. Your foil should completely cover the wire frame. (DON’T SECURE WITH TAPE YET). Open the top of the blade PARTIALLY and slide in a piece of cardboard, The cardboard should be about the same size as your blade.

Strengthen Your Blade

Tape together your wooden popsicle sticks with electrical tape. Then tape it to your inner layer of foil and cardboard to make your blade stronger and less likely to bend.

Wrap the Handle

Take your electrical tape and wrap it around the handle until all wood and wire are COMPLETLY covered. This will give your handle a more realistic look and feel. Once fully covered, cut your tape and secure the end to the rest of the handle.

Paint the Blade

Take red paint and a paint brush and dab paint on the edge of your blade. then mix in some black with the red to create a darker red. Once both sides are painted use your brush and finger to splatter "blood" on the blade.
