DIY Papercut Lamp

In this tutorial we’ll show you how to make a papercut lamp

It´s beautiful, simple and not expensive decoration .

DIY PAPERCUT LAMP

You Need:

-cardstock in the colors of your choice

-a x-acto knife

-pencil

-glue stick

-ruler

Cut a 15 by 15 Inches Cardstock Square .but You Can Cut Any Size and Design You Want.

but you can cut any size and design you want.

Make a Frame.

one of the sides of the frame will be separated 2 inches of the edge and the other 3 will be separated 1 inch of the edge.

Start to Make Triangles.

play with sizes, make big ones, medium ones and little tiny ones, remember you can make the design you want, use your imagination and continue filling in triangles as many as you need to finish the cardstock

Make a Tab and a Slit

...to keep the paper connected when you roll into a cone. make a mark and cut at an angle on one side, and a slit on the other side.

​Roll the Paper Into a Cone

... to find the right spots before you cut them.

take glue stick and add it in to the tab and the slit to keep them in place and let it dry for a few minutes.

​To Hang It You Need a Pendant Core.

for safety make sure your core have a belted piece to keep the paper away from the lamp. Put the core into the cone opening.it´s easier add the core when the paper cone is already glued.

Light Source

for the light source you will need a green energy saving. low voltage bulb for your safety.

​Hang Your Lamp

...with a ceiling hook to keep the lamp away from the wall.
