In this instructable you will learn how to make decorative ornaments by using paper and paper crafting techniques. Paper craft is a collection of crafts using paper or card as the primary artistic medium for the creation of one, two or three-dimensional objects. Paper and card stock lend themselves to a wide range of techniques and can be folded, curved, bent, cut, glued, molded, stitched, or layered.
These ornaments are easy to make. The base material used to make this is paper, you will also need some helping tools to make neat amd clean ornaments. The helping tools are generally readily available in our homes, tools like pencil, scale, scissors. You would also require glue to make these ornaments.
Let's make some paper crafted ornaments to decorate our house and christmas tree this holiday. To learn how to make them go through the instructions and then take help from the picture. The pictures will help you to understand a lot better.

Take a sheet of paper.
Fold it in half.
Now, a fold is made such that one of the vertex of the folded edge toches the adjacent side, just an inch above the diagonally opposite vertex.
A triangle would be formed above the prevoius fold, now you have to fold that triangle inwards, as shown in picture.
Now fold it vertically in half.
Next make a mark with a pencil and cut or you can cut without making the mark, just make sure you get all the layers while cutting. You need to focus on the upper triangle part rest can be discarded.
Open the cut part and make the creases more intense by folding the creases several times. Attach a string and hang it.

Take two sheets of paper and fold them separately into zig-zag fold. You can make this with newspaper as well. Make a outward fold at 1/3rd length of the sheet as shown in picture. Paste the two sheets together leaving the folded side as in picture. Next you have to make the face of the angel for that cut a circle and fold it in zig-zag fold as well, glue it to the angel's body as done in the picture. Attach a string and hang it.

For making paper snow flakes you will be needing 12 white strips of 0.5cm broad. By the method of quilling, roll them using a pencil or any other thin cylindrical object like needle. Pinch the rolled sheet on the circumference to make it look like a petal. Glue them together forming a small flake as shown in picture, then increase the size of by pasting more quilled strips in between the small flakes as shown in picture. Tie a string and hang.

Take sheet of equal length and breadth, fold it in half. Again fold it in half, and again but this time diagonally and again diagonally as well. Open the paper and fold with the help of crease formed from centre to each of the vertex, refer image.
Agiain fold in half forming a trianlge, then make a small curved cut at vertex which is not joined. Open that fold and fold the unjoint vertices inward towards the third vertex such that it almost touches the third vertex. Next, fold the third vertex towards the side opposite to it, give a gentle inward fold from the joined vertices as in the picture, your butterfly is ready. Attach a string and hang it.
