DIY Paper Flowers (Folding Tricks)
I learned how to make paper rose from a friend few months ago. But it hit me just now that the technique she used to make the rose can also be used to make flowers with different patterns. It's all in the- folding the paper and cutting the petals... By using this technique you can make a number of beautiful flowers with different patterns.
Grab some craft paper and get started!

Materials Needed
To make these flowers you'll need:
- Craft paper,
- Scissor,
- Glue.,
- Round object (small paint brush will work).
6 Petals
You will need 4 pieces of craft paper of the same size. I used 4 X 4 inches craft papers.
Fold the paper into half and then into even thirds.
You can draw the pattern of the petal on the folded paper or you can simply cut the top of the folded paper into an arch shape. Similarly cut 3 more as you'll need 4 of these. This way you'll get 6 petals on each paper.
Again cut the 6 petaled papers as shown in the 5th picture of this step.
Use the small paint brush or any small round object to create curves on the petals.
Apply glue on one side of the petaled papers and join it with the other side.
Now we have - 2 pieces with 5 petals, 1 with 4 petals, 2 with 3 petals, 1 with 2 petals and 2 with 1 petal.
Start gluing the pieces (petaled papers), one on the top of the other one. Try to arrange them nicely to create a beautiful pattern. The ones with more petals should be on the bottom and the ones with fewer petals should be on the top.
8 Petals
You will need 4 same size craft papers for this flower as well.
Fold the paper into half 3 times and the paper will look like the one in picture-3 of this step.
Cut the top of the folded paper into a pointy shape. Similarly cut 3 more because you'll need 4 of these. This way you'll get 8 petals on each pieces of paper.
Again cut the 8 petaled papers as shown in the 5th picture of this step.
Use the small paint brush to create curves on the petals and use glue to join the edges of each cut out petals.
Now we have - 1 piece with 7 petals, 1 with 6 petals, 1 with 5 petals, 2 with 4 petals, 1 with 3 petals, 1 with 2 petals and 1 with 1 petal.
Arrange the pieces nicely by gluing the ones with fewer petals on the top.
Take a small pieces of yellow craft paper and cut fine fringes on them. Roll the fringed paper and glue it in the center of the flower.
Allow the glue to dry.
12 Petals
You will also need 4 craft papers to make this flower.
Fold the paper into half 2 times and then into even thirds.
Cut the top of the folded paper into an arch shape. Cut 3 more. This way it will create 12 petals on each piece of paper.
Again cut the 12 petaled papers as shown in the 5th picture of this step.
Create curves on the petals and join the edges of each piece using glue.
Now we have - 1 piece with 11 petals, 1 with 10 petals, 1 with 9 petals, 1 with 8 petals, 1 with 1 petal, 1 with 2 petals, 1 with 3 petals and 1 with 4 petals.
Glue the pieces (petaled papers) one by one by keeping the more petaled pieces on the bottom.
Try to arrange the pieces nicely.
Allow the glue to dry.
4 Petals
This one's really cute! You will need 3 pieces of craft papers for this flower.
Fold the paper into half 2 times.
Cut the top of the folded paper into an arch shape. Similarly cut 2 more.
Again cut the petaled papers as shown in the 4th picture of this step.
We have- 2 pieces of papers with 3 petals, 2 with 2 petals and 2 with 1 petal.
Now glue them one by one like we've done for the previous ones.
Use yellow paper to make stamen and glue it in the center of the flower.
Done! You can add stem, leaves and place the flowers in a vase or you can also make wreath, wall decor and many more suing these flowers. Make some right away... you never know, you might come up with another pretty pattern :)
Enjoy!
