goal - in the home to create a printed circuit board

Supplies

textolite plate coated with copper on one side

fiber laser raycus 30w

syno-galvo SG7110

The task was to engrave the circuit board as accurately as possible for subsequent etching with iron chloride.

First, I degrease the metal side of the workpiece and paint it with black paint.

After the paint has dried, I put the workpiece on the work table.

Then I work in CoralDraw. On the Internet, I found the type of printed circuit board that interests me. For further more convenient work, I converted the raster image into a vector image using outline tracing.

I needed to burn off all the paint outside the conductive paths. Therefore, I invert the image by excluding it from the rectangle.

EzCad

Then I save it in .plt format. Run EzCad and import that file into it. I set the shading with a line frequency of 0.03 mm.

I fire up the laser. Working mode 1200 mm / s, power 28%. In this mode, the laser burns paint in those places where copper will have to dissolve in the future.

Here's what we got after engraving.

Etching

Next, place the workpiece in the previously prepared solution of ferric chloride 3. Put the workpiece with the processed side down.

Etching can take 5 to 60 minutes. In my case, it took 12 minutes.

Final Result

Here is the final result after rinsing off the paint with isopropanol.

In the finale, I discovered that there were mistakes. (visible in the last photo) I think I accidentally ripped off the paint before etching.
