Candles could be really expensive sometimes and even the small ones are at least 7 dollars. So here's how to make your own candle with only a candle cup, soy wax, scented wax cubes or a liquid scent, double sided tape, a wick, and a pot of boiling water. Let's get started!

Melting Your Wax

Put a lot of your soy wax into a mason jar. Place the mason jar inside a pot of boiling water. Make sure that the water reaches the lip of your jar so the jar is almost fully submersed. Put your wax cubes in the soy wax and wait for it to melt. I used mango scented cubes if anyone is wondering. It could take anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes for your wax to melt completely. Once it has, give it a little stir and pour all of the wax inside your candle cup. Make sure that your wick is still in the middle and is still straight. To keep the wick in place, I laid a barbecue skewer across the halfway point of my candle cup and I used a clothes pin and clipped it in place. I melted some more wax and wax cubes to fill my candle cup up the rest of the way. Let your wax harden up in your cup and you are done! Please comment and follow.
