I wanted to make a Decor to put in my Manga-Bookself.

So I think a DIY Marquee letter would be fine. And easy.

There are a lot of ways to make a Maruqee Letter, but it depends on how much money you want to spend.

Step 1: Font/Print the Letter

Choose an outline font and print your letter(s)

After printing them, cut them.....

Step 2:

Now take a carton, a marker, and tape.

Stick the tape to be the letter more stable. And draw with the marker the outlines.

Now cut the carton and repeat. You need 2 copies. The front and the back side.

Step 3

You need now to cut more smaller pieces to make the 3D effect.

Make sure the length is the same. With a tape stick the small pieces to the letter.

With a cardboard now you can cover the open sides. Use the tape again, or tape and glue both.

Step 4

Now you need newspaper, glue and brush.

Stick with the glue the newspaper all over the letter, so it can be the surface more straight.

You can speed the process with a Blow-Dryer

Step 5 (Optional)

If you don't want to waste so much color-paint you can paint a white layer first.

I used a paint that is actually for the walls :P

Step 6

11891229_1489461504685522_9218319573310613211_n.jpg

Now take the preferable color and paint it.

AND LET IT DRY.

I wanted also a black outline, the only black color I had was a nail polish.
I haven't finish it already because I am waiting to be dryed and then paint the last parts that are not be painted yet.
