DIY Lavender Dryer Bags

My mom sent me some amazing dried lavender from her garden in Colorado this weekend. While brainstorming ideas of how to use her lavender in everything from baked goods to beauty products, I stumbled on a post about using it as a dryer sheet substitute. It's a quick, simple DIY that will make your laundry smell heavenly!

Prepare Your Supplies

Supplies: 1/4-1/2 cup of dried lavender, small cloth bags and optional lavender essential oil

Measure out 1/4-1/2 cup of dried lavender and pour it into your small cloth bag. You can also add a few drops of lavender essential oil to strengthen the scent.

Place in Dryer for the Best Smelling Laundry

Tie your pouch tightly at the top and place it in your dryer. You can use the lavender pouch around 10 times, rubbing it in between your palms or adding essential oil to increase the scent in between cycles.

This same concept can be used with other herbs and scents so please experiment!
