Want to have a great desk with storage and enough space to actually work? Well, desks are kinda expensive. However, today I will walk you through how to get a desk for pretty cheap using Ikea items, rather than the expensive, cheap quality desks they provide.

Step 1: Planning and Buying

Look on the Ikea website for:

Measure the area you would like the desk to go and make sure the drawer unit and tabletop are large or small enough (Ikea legs are traditionally adjustable.). The average table height is about 28 to 30 inches; adjust measurements according to your height.

Step 2: Assemble

Follow the instructions to assemble the drawer unit. Then, screw the legs to the tabletop and flip the tabletop onto the drawer. Make sure the plastic dots are on each corner of the drawer.

Step 3: Decoration (Optional)

Put your organization, books, lamp, or whatever you would like onto your desk.

Conclusion

You now have a simple and relatively cheap Ikea desk, much better than the ones they sell. You can easily disassemble the desk for relocating and you can change which side you would like the drawer on at any time.

Enjoy!!!
