Hummingbird Feeding Table
I've always thought of using old stuff thaat most people throw away as building material. The squirrels and chipmunks also climb up for drinks, to. The great thing about this feeder is that three components are already found. The air conditioner unit of most houses has a box mounted to the wall. Put the feeder on that to save concrete.
Supplies
- 1 brick
- 3 similar miniature seating items that fit the average squirrel
- 1 water container
- 1 mini straw
- double sided tape or glue
Mold Seating
Take a little bit of clay and push it into a rectangle block about 1-2 inches in width(length fits with the brick). Bake in the oven and double tape or glue to brick. Repeat 4 more times. When done it should look similar to the one in the photo.
Drinking Cup and Straw
The drinking cup can be anyhting froma a mini mug from your child's cooking set to a hollow mega block, but my advisory to you is this: use anything you want, but be sure to color the outside of it. Never color the inside because it can harm the hummingbirds. Also, the mega block is red because it already is. If you're using a block, choose the red ones.
Fill
Fill it with humming bird water, but I suggest you not put sugar in it. Even the white cooking sugar is healthiest, it is still very hard to digest. Install straw and watch from a window. mine is in front of the dining room window, but if you want, mount the feeder with concrete to another outdoor windowsill.
