DIY How to Fix Hose Stuck on Water Spigot
Our hose had become really worn. I had replaced the nozzle end on more than one occasion. It was constantly kinking. My wife found a newish one on Marketplace and asked me to swap it. I discovered that the old hose was stuck on the spigot. It would not budge.
Supplies
It's pretty common for a hose to get stuck on the faucet. In my case an aluminum hose collar on a brass faucet generates a little corrosion. We also have really hard water in my region contributing to the issue. For this project I used the following:

Gloves
Safety first. Always wear hearing protection, safety glasses, dust mask or respirator and gloves when needed.
I tried using a wrench. I drowned the spigot in WD40 to help loosen it. No luck. It is too easy to damage your water pipes. You can't force it. I did a little research and found the best way to remove the hose is with a hack saw. Start by using the hack saw to cut the hose collar at an angle. It is actually pretty easy as the collar is aluminum and cuts quickly. Be careful not to cut took deeply. You do not want to cut the threads on the spigot. I cut at an angle towards the hose.
Once I had a deep groove, I was able to wedge a screw driver into the crack. After a couple tries, I was able to bend the collar and crack it along the cut line. I still couldn't turn it by hand but it now moved freely with the wrench. I sprayed some WD40 on the faucet and wiped the debris from it with a paper towel. After that I installed the new hose. As an option you can salvage your old hose and install a replacement end piece.
