DIY Harry Potter Inspired T-Shirt With a Cricut Machine
I love the Harry Potter books! In the series they play a sport called Quidditch that sounds really fun and cool. Since Halloween is coming up I decided I would go as a quidditch player but I don't really like dressing up. So I decided to make a t-shirt that could be similar to a practice jersey a player might wear for their team. I used my cricut maker and I think it turned out great. The best part of this project was that it only took 30 minutes to make.

Import Your Svg Into Design Space
The first thing you want to do in cricut design space is import your svg. Once you have done that and clicked import into project you can now manipulate the image.
Cricut has some useful templates to make sizing things correctly, I was able to use the shirt template to get it right for my shirt.
Cut Out the HTV Vinyl
Once you are ready to cut out the heat transfer vinyl you can choose the settings. I use the every day iron on setting which is basically the same thing as htv.
When cutting htv, something that will be ironed on to a shirt, you need to reverse the image that way it will adhere to the material.
Always make sure the htv is shiny down when cutting.
Once it is all cut then you need to weed the image which is just removing the excess vinyl we dont want attaching to the shirt.
Heat Press Your Design
For this project I am using Cricuts heat press but you can do this with a normal iron. Cricut has a great heat guide settings on their website which will give you the correct temps for the vinyl and material you use.
Enjoy Your New Shirt!
I love love love how this shirt came out! It didn't take me very long to make and will make a great costume this coming Halloween!
