Please find the templates here (above) to download. They are all designed to be printed onto A4 sheets of paper or thin card, and for each of the 2 designs there are 2 files; one practice file and one to make the finished card.

The practice files will show you all of the lines you need to cut and fold, whilst the files for actually making the finished greeting cards only have the pumpkin face and faint cut lines.

Green dotted lines represent valley folds, blue dotted lines represent mountain folds, black outlines are cut lines and the red line represents the centre fold line of the card.

Feel free to change the shape of the templates to suit the size of card you want to create - just make sure the centre fold line always remains lined up with the centre of the card you're making.

Following the Templates

Once you have printed the practice templates, you will need to first place the paper on a cutting mat and cut along the black outlines with your craft knife.

Then fold the valley folds and mountain folds, and finally push the pumpkin into the pop-up position and fold the paper in half along the red line.

Once you have completed the practice pop-ups using printer paper, print the other templates for the designs onto orange thick paper or thin card.

Do exactly the same as before, but this time you will first need to cut along the faint outline, and then make the folds without following any printed fold lines. It's helpful to use a ruler and craft knife to carefully score the paper/card where the folds are going to be before you fold them - this way you have a guide and it makes the folds neater too.

Outer Card

For the outer card section, I simply folded an A4 sheet of black card in half.

As I previously stated, you can make the templates and this greeting card any size you like. I personally printed everything on A4 paper/card and made the pop-ups & outer card, before then cutting these sheets down to the size I wanted (by cutting at least a few cm off each side). Then I used a glue stick to attach the pop-up to the inside of the card.

To finish the outside of the card, I used the excess orange paper I had just cut off and drew a grid in pencil to represent how large the letters for 'HAPPY HALLOWEEN' could be whilst still being able to fit on the front of the card. I then drew the outlines of the letters inside this grid.

Once you're happy with the letter outlines, cut the details out first using your craft knife and then cut along the rest of the lines with your scissors. Remove any pencil outlines with an eraser, and then use a glue stick to attach the letters to the front of the card.

And then it's finished!
