DIY: Guitar Amplifier W/Vintage Gear
We're into finding and keeping old vintage audio equipment such as tube amplifiers, field coil speakers, and anything art-deco-esque. But we were in need of a guitar amplifier, so when we came across a gutted 1936 Philco Tombstone radio case, we knew we had a project!
This series of videos shows how we combined a 1936 Philco Tombstone radio case with a 1940s field coil speaker from an old Hammond organ and 1960s Leslie Type 25 tube amplifier complete with a DIY power supply capable of providing 115VAC, 8-10 VDC, and 90VDC for the different components!
A full write-up will be in AudioXpress's September 2014 edition!
