DIY Graphic Tees

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create your own graphic tee. Inexpensicve and fun, this project can be done in under 10 minutes!
Gather Materials

Materials will include:
- An InkJet Printer (Be sure not to use a Laser jet or Office Jet)
- Laptop or Desktop computer
- An Iron (Important to not fill with water)
- Scissors
- Exacto knife (Optional)*
- Parchment Paper
- Avery Fabric Transfer paper- 8.5x11
Load Paper and Connect to Printer

Begin by loading transfer paper into printer blank side down.
Connect printer to computer with usb cord.
Find a Picture and Save It for Easy Access

Select preferred picture by saving it to computer
Open up the file with preferred picture and select print
Let Paper Dry

To prevent ink from smearing, let paper set for at least 30 seconds.
Cut Your Image

Using scissors cut around the picture leaving 0.5-1 inches of space around image.
Peeling the Paper

Slowly peel back of transfer paper off. It is important to do so steadily and focused to refrain from taring the paper.
Transferring to Shirt

Place shirt on table making sure there are no creases. Place picture sticky side down on desired location on shirt.
Place Transfer Paper

Place tracing paper over picture completely covering it. This protects the inks of from the paper from smearing.
Ironing on Image

Using iron on max setting, press and slide iron over parchment paper for 3 to 5 minutes.
Removing Parchment Paper

Carefully remove parchment paper, making sure the transfer paper and parchment paper do not stick.
Allow Shirt to Dry

Let shirt sit for 1 minute. Folding, creasing or moving the shirt too fast could make the image fall off, so give it time to dry.
Final Product

Your custom graphic tee is not ready to be worn. Wear it with pride!
