DIY Tomtom Gps Bike Mount for Free!

I had always wanted to mount a gps on a bicycle, that way I would know how to get back home again, or ride to unknown places. If you buy a basic Garmin bicycle gps, they start from around $260 (like Garmin touring gps). So I decided to not spend that kind of money on a fairly simple thing, but instead make my own from a car gps. As you see in the picture above, I mounted my "Tomtom" on the handlebars of my bike.

To make a gps mount for your bicycle you will need :

1) Hot glue

2) A screwdriver

3) FRONT bicycle reflector

4) Some bolts (preferably small)

5) Gps windshield mount

6) A bike ;)

The first thing you are going to do, is to pop of the front of the reflector off. Then, carefully disassemble the windshield mount until you are left with only the holding ring.

After dissembling the windshield mount, drill two (or more) holes through the reflector and in to the ring holder. Secure with bolts, and some hot glue. Let the glue set, mount on the bike, and go for a worry free ride!
