DIY GoPro Bottle Mount Attachment

Gopro_bottle.jpg

I made this GoPro attachment for a friend. He wanted something inexpensive, which is hard to come by, so I made him this essential 3D printed accessory for action type cameras. That being said, I have decided to share my model with others too. Those of you who like using your GoPro in the water might be afraid that the camera might sink - just use this water bottle mount, because as you know, a plastic water bottle will stay afloat. Secondly, it can be the perfect replacement for a tripod, just add water so the bottle will be stable. I have also used it with my GoPro 4 and it worked like a charm!

Items you will need:

3D printed GoPro mount

Standard plastic bottle

Some water (on occasion)

GoPro camera

3d Printing the Model

You can make your GoPro mount here. If it's necessary, you can use Treatstock's 3D printing network instructable.

Using GoPro in the Water

Take a regular plastic bottle, remove the cap and replace it with the GoPro mount attachment. If you want to use it while in the water to capture those awesome moments in water sports, leave the bottle empty or add just a little bit of liquid. This way, even if the camera gets into water it won't sink.

Using It As a Ground Mount

If you are going to use GoPro on dry land, add more water to the bottle to make it more stable. So even if it is windy out, you will be able to put your camera on ground without it falling over. Hope that this simple, but effective device will help you to improve your GoPro videos.

Good luck and be sure to check out my other 3D models in my store!
