DIY Gift Envelope

This idea can be used for any holiday or event when your gift is money or a gift card or tickets to the concert and similar. Such gifts can be packed in a nice handmade envelope with your own style.

Materials:

  • Any medium or thick paper to your liking;
  • Printed out photo or an image (on a copy paper, color printer preferable);
  • scissors, a ruler, a pencil, a glue stick.

Take a Thick Paper to Your Liking and a Printed Out Image

To make an envelope you can use wrapping paper or scrapbook paper or color card stock or just plain medium to thick paper. A4 size is ok to make a money envelope or for a gift card. Don't use copy paper, the result wil not be neat enough.

Cut a Square and Find the Center Using a Ruler

Fold an Envelope

Take a Printed Out Photo or an Image, Place the Envelope Over It and Trace the Outline With a Pencil

Cut a Little Bellow the Pencil Line (you May Use Scissors or a Cutting Knife)

Apply Glue to the Whole Surface of a Cut-out and Glue It Inside the Envelope

Now Glue the Envelope

Sign the Envelope, Insert Your Gift and Seal With a Sticky Tape or a Nice Sticker

That's all, the envelope is ready! You may choose any paper to make a nice envelope to your liking and choose your photo or upload any free image from the Internet to meet the taste of whom your gift is aimed.
