Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted a tutorial in a while. I've been a bit preoccupied. Well anyhow... Here is a simple little project that turns out amazing. You can use this wonderful piece as decor or even storage! (Personally, I like to put extra change into mine!) This glow jar adds a bit of flare to any boring old room. Now are you ready? Let's GLOW!

What You Will Need

For the glow jar, you will need a couple of supplies:

- Any size mason jar or other clear container that you want to glow

- Glow in the dark paint or gel (I picked mine up at Walmart for about 5 bucks.)

- A paintbrush (Preferably smaller bristles)

- A plate or surface to pour the paint on

Now that you have everything you need, let's get glowing!

Prepare to Paint

Pour a quarter sized amount of paint onto your plate or surface. Be careful not to pour out too much paint, because in this project a little bit of paint goes a long way.

Yay! Time to Paint!

Now apply a small glob of paint to your paintbrush. Use the brush to create dots of paint on the inside of the jar. The more dots you have, and the closer together they are, the brighter your jar will glow. Covering the entire inside of the jar with dots takes awhile, so have patience; it pays off in the end.

Finishing Up

Now that you have successfully speckled the inside of your jar, go around and add more dots in places that look a little too empty. Congratulations! You have completed painting your glow jar!

Charge Your Jar

Once your paint has dried, expose your jar to bright light. For every one minute in the light, your jar will glow for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Ready, Set, GLOW!

P.S. There are so many great puns to go with this project:

I'm glowing crazy!

Ready, set, glow!

How glow can you go?

Well, now that I am done torturing you with my corny jokes, goodbye, adios, adieu!
