Haha.

Grab your lids, white paint, and one of your brushes. Paint your lids white and let dry.

All Your Bases Are Covered!

As they should be. :P #coveryourbaseskids #LOL

Grab your white scrap fabric, your bases, your brushes, and your Mod Podge. Glue the fabric onto your bases and let it dry.

Round & Round the Base We Go

Where we stop, nobody knows! ;) Haha

Now grab your bases, Tacky Glue, and scissors. Cut around your bases and cut slits in the fabric to create tabs. Glue them down and let them dry.

The Base Is Greener on the Other Side

Yup, that's right! Move it on over, grass! Ha.

Now cover your bases with your green fabric and let dry.

All Your Bases Are Clear

Now grab your recycled plastic, scissors, inner base template, and pen. Trace around it onto your plastic and cut out your bases.

Leafin' Those Bases

Now grab your base template, felt, pins, scissors, and pen. Trace around your template onto your felt and pin. Carefully cut out.

Base-ic Veins

Now grab your bases, embroidery floss, needle, scissors, pen, and thread. Embroider over your veins. I used the split stitch and one strand of embroidery floss. If you have trouble getting the floss to go through the eye of the needle, you can take a little bit of Tacky Glue and flatten the end a little bit. This makes it easier for the thread to go through.

Base-Ic Center

Now grab your fleece, inner base template, pen, scissors, and pins.

Relaxin' Is Base-Ic

Ha.

Now grab your bases, scissors, pipe cleaners, fleece and plastic circles, and Tacky Glue. Glue your fleece on your base, and then your plastic. Let it dry. Then cut pipe cleaners to fit and glue them on, let dry. Glue the entire base together. Repeat for your other base.

All Together Now

Now grab your outer and inner petal templates, your fat quarter, scissors, pen, pins, and needle & thread. Trace around your template onto your fabric, pin and cut out, then sew. Repeat with your other fat quarter. Clip your curves carefully, and turn your petals right side out. Top stitch them.

Grab your scrap fabrics, scissors, pen, pins, center template, and needle and thread. Trace around your center template onto your fabric, pin and cut out. I made mine with two layers of quilted fabric, three fleece. Sew them up. I used the blanket stitch here, but you can also use the whip stitch. I also stuffed them with a bit of poly-fil stuffing to give them a bit more dimension. Now grab your calyx template and your fat quarters and trace around it onto your fabric. Cut out your circles and sew around them with a running stitch. Cinch it around your center and stitch the back in place.

These Tiny Petals, They're So Cute

Now grab your felt, tiny inner petal template, pen, scissors, and pins. Fold your felt and cut a strip. Trace around your petal template and carefully cut them out. You should have 10 small petals. Grab your needle and thread, and your tiny petals and sew them together using the running stitch. Gather it a little and pin it around your center. Glue the strip of petals around your center.

Grab your glue gun, your base, and your inner petals. Glue them inside your base and glue the center in. Now grab your outer petals and glue them on your flower. Repeat with your other flower.

It's Calyx Time

Grab your calyx template, pen, flower, felt, and scissors. Trace around your template and cut out. Cut little triangles out around the edge of your circle. Cut an extra circle out and glue it on the bottom of your flower. This helps make it a little more even. Glue your calyx on. Repeat with your other flower.
