DIY Fishing Rod Holder

I made a DIY fishing rod holder out of PVC pipe. I made this to ensure the safety of my rods during my travels. The PVC case protects the rods from being snapped or damaged during your travels. I am an avid fisherman, however I always worried about my rods being crushed in a packed car during fishing trips. Now that I have this PVC case I will be able to store my rods safely without worrying about them being damaged or crushed by my gear in the car.
Supplies

To construct your own DIY Fishing Rod Holder you will need the following materials.
- 4"x10' PVC Pipe
- Two 4" PVC Caps
- A tape measure to measure pipe
- A Hand saw or Miter saw to cut the pipe
Cutting and Measuring the Pipe

Once you have gathered all of the necessary materials you need to cut your pipe to the height of your fishing rods. Make sure you cut your pipe one inch taller than your fishing rod to ensure a good fit. Mark the pipe with a sharpie at the desired length. Then slowly and carefully cut the pipe on the mark with the miter saw.
Putting on the Caps

Once your pipe is cut to length the last step is pushing on the PVC caps. Now you are ready to enjoy your fishing trip without worrying about your rods being damaged.
