DIY Fancy Paper Winter Snowflake
Materials
- Paper, preferably thin so it is easier to cut when folded into layers
- Scissors, perhaps a large pair and a fine tipped pair
- Pencil ( optional )
- Snowflake template
Step 1:
- Start with a piece of square paper
- Fold it in half, diagonally
Step 2 :
- Fold the triangle in half, it should now be four layers thick
- Turn the triangle so the base is towards you
- Bring on of the corners on the end( not the top corner) towards the center
- Overlap the second corner so the edge is lined up with the crease on the already folded edge
Step 3 :
- The two corners should overlap
- Trim the two tails or triangles from the main triangle
Step 4:
- Use a pencil to draw this pattern shown
TIP: look up cutting patterns on Pinterest or online for snowflakes
Step 5:
- Cut out the pattern
- Pull apart the snowflake
TIP: If you don't cut far enough or right, the snowflake may turn out differently, the shape will not be a circle, it will span from the center. In other words, the design will look like a regular snowflake shape.
