DIY Easy Skirt!

I've really wanted to make a skirt for a while, so I found this way to make one out of a t-shirt! It's super easy and cute looking!

• T-shirt
• Elastic
• Seam ripper
• Scissors
• Thread (It needs to match the color of the t-shirt)
• Sewing needle
• Safety pin

Cut the top off of the shirt, right underneath the sleeves.

Cut a hole in the hem of the skirt with the seam ripper.

Measure your hips and cut the elastic the same as your hips.

Attach the safety pin onto the edge of the elastic

Insert the elastic, (the side with the safety pin on it), into the hole you made in the hem. If you do not know how to do this, watch the video (and please ignore the PinkFong music in the background XD)

When you are finished putting the elastic through the hem, attach the safety pin to the other side. Feel around the hem to make sure your elastic isn't twisted.

Remove the safety pin and sew the two ends of the elastic together.

Sew the hole closed.

Now you have a homemade skirt! Go show it off to your friends and family! Also, please tell me if you made a skirt, I would love to see it!
