DIY Easy Crossbow!

about a day ago before this project, i bought some old, used stuff from school flea market. one of those items was a plastic toy bow with a suction cup tipped arrow and everything. it worked great, but i coulden't leave just as that. and according to google, crossbows are better than just normal bows. so, i decided to turn this cheap, used bow into a working, easy crossbow.

Supplies

you will need:

a large alligator clip

disposable wooden chopsticks

tape and scissors

a toy bow and arrow(the bow must have a arrow hole)

Bodymaking

to start with the main structure, get some disposable wooden chopsticks and tape them up to make one long stick. 3 or 4 is enough to do the job. tape it multiple times, so it stands the power of the bow.

Stick the Bow

time for the main weaponry. get the toy bow and tape it below about one inch. this too is needed to be taped multiple times. if the bow is too weak, adjust the bowstring length to make it more strong.

The Trigger

for the trigger. get a large alligator clip and tape it at the point where the bowstring goes the longest.

(optional)stock

get more disposable chopsticks and tape them up to form a stock at the rear end. this step is optional, but i recommend you do this. you'll get much more grip.

Load & Fire

now that we're finished with the building, let's see if you're a wilhelm tell, or just a guy who missed an apple(bad). to load up the crossbow, pull the string back with the arrow through the arrow hole, and clip it on the alligator clip. when you're ready to fire, aim it, and press the trigger(alligator clip) to release the arrow. if it dosen't go far, angle the crossbow more above it's target.

REMEMBER, DO NOT SHOOT ON ANY LIVING OBJECTS.

Done!

it's done! the crossbow actually works even better then before, it's much easier to target, shooting kinda sucks, thats kind of expected. so maybe i'll try a more modified version next time.
