DIY Drumstick Holder
This simple design is easy and can be constructed within 30 minutes using household items. Simply using a Gatorade bottle and other common things you can make a drumstick holder that attaches to the drumset itself.
Supplies
- 16 Oz. Gatorade bottle
- Hot glue gun
- Knife (One sharp enough to cut through plastic)
- Spray paint (If desired)
Cutting to Size
Using a knife sharp enough, cut between the top and the body. There is a noticeable indent between the top of the gatorade and the body, in the middle of this is where the cut should carefully separate the top from the bottom. If the cut comes out uneven as shown in the photo your able to cut it again and even it out. After this cut clean the bottle inside with water.
Orange Ring
Between where the cap screws on and the gatorade bottle itself there is a orange ring stopper. Where ever on the ring, create a slice that separates it. Save this part for the next step.
Holder
Using the knife before hand create two slits parallel to each other that the tips of the orange circle can fit through comfortably but isn't too loose that it falls out. Insert the orange ring into the slits. On the ends of the orange circle (Where it separates when its in the bottle) use hot glue on them to prevent it from falling out. These two should not be connected but hot glued on their own ends. This allows you to tighten it to your drumset to your liking and have it not fall off.
Spray Paint
If you want to using spray paint to your desire, spray over the inside and out with whatever color of your choosing. Make sure these are even layers.
