DIY Drinking Fountain, Soda Machine

This is a DIY drinking fountain. You can put any drink/s in it you want. I used 2 drinks, you can use more or less. I put mine inside a broken heater. I think it looks cool. You can use whatever.

Supplies

Hot glue / hot glue gun
Tubes
Motor/s
Bottle cap / small container
LEDs (optional)
Plastic bags
Bottles

Cut Cap (if Needed)

Find a bottle cap 1-2 inches wide. It should be about 1 inch tall, if it is taller cut a part of it off. Make sure the inside is pretty smooth.

Motor + Spinning Piece

Attach a small flat plastic piece to a DC motor. I would recommend gluing it on with super glue. you can use any type of flat object as the spinning piece. I recommend using a bendable, but firm plastic.

Containing the Motor

hot glue the motor onto the plastic cap. at the bottom melt a hole for the tube. hot glue the tube to the hole. you might be able to super glue it instead if you prefer. test the motor and make sure it can spin. if it cannot, try gluing it again.

Attach Tube to Bottle

melt a small hole in the bottom of a plastic bottle. glue the tube into the hole. blow through the bottle to see if air can go through the tube. if it cannot, the tube is probably clogged up with hot glue.

melt another small hole in the side of the cap. attach a tube to that hole with hot glue.

Waterproof

fill the bottle with water to find where the leaks are. use parts of a plastic bag and hot glue to patch the leaky parts. test motor with the bottle filled with water to see if the pump works.

Finish

add switches and buttons to use the fountain. add LEDs if needed. you can put it in a box or mini fridge. add any final touches to make it look perfect. then your done!
